Research

The SageLab research program is comprised of interrelated streams of foundational and applied sexuality science, broadly focused on understanding sexual arousal and desire, sexual attractions, interests, and identities, and sexual health and wellbeing.

WASABI

RECRUITMENT CLOSED

The SageLab is seeking adults interested in things like consensual rough sex (ex. choking, slapping, restraints) or role-play (age 18+) to participate in an online study examining the factors that promote and hinder community involvement among people with interest in various sexual and non-sexual behaviours. Must be able to read and write in English, have access to the Internet, and interest in any of the following consensual behaviours: rough sex, tying up/being tied by a partner, spanking, hitting, choking, hair pulling, or role-play. Weekly prize draws for $50 (CAD) will be available to thank you for your participation. JASMINE

The Jasmine study is designed to assess relationship and sexual experiences in daily life. It involves completing a variety of questionnaires, completing a brief (~2 min) survey every day for 22 days, and viewing and responding to two brief (~5 min) sexual videos. We are seeking men and women in romantic relationships who generally experience any level of sexual desire (low, medium, high). We are particularly targeting low and high desire folks, as they are underrepresented in daily experience and sexuality studies like this. Must also be residing in Canada or the US (for payment purposes), have high English fluency and regular access to the internet, and be age 18-50. Other eligibility requirements apply.
